Matt and his partners founded Invictus International in 2016 aligning their company services with the startup of the Cannabis Industry in Nevada, providing security solutions to small, medium and enterprise-level clients. The company pioneered a systems integration approach for the Nevada Cannabis industry and have grown immensely since. Currently their are 120 members in the Invictus International team as the growth phase continues for their business.
Matt’s background is diverse. He commenced his career with the United States Marine Corps, dedicating 11 years to the service in the 1st Reconnaissance Battalion. During that time he served in Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan, a recipient of the Purple Heart. Matt’s qualifications, experience, recognition and decorations are extensive.
Retiring from the corp, Matt undertook studies to graduate with a B.S. in Business Administration with Honors from Hawaii Pacific University in Honolulu. He then joined the technology sector with startup organisations, Door Dash and Urban Translations assisting in the establishment of the brands and products. He also served as a Legislative Assistant in the Hawaii State Legislature working on government policy and regulatory bodies for civic projects and military-community relations.
He views Invictus International’s company as a platform for the gainful employment of post military career veterans and works with other veteran owned enterprises to further this mission. Beyond his commercial enterprises Matt has dedicated his time to a number of causes including at-risk and addicted youth.
Originally hailing from Detroit, Michigan, he now calls Las Vegas home, having spent time in Hawaii and California as well as his broader international experience with the United States Marine Corps.
Regularly engaged for his views, Matt has a unique perspective of the Nevada Cannabis industry and the Cannabis industry in general as it is developing in the state.
