Tedd Brandes has committed a career to building technology in the Las Vegas Valley. During his career he has experienced many of the major technology shifts that have taken place leading to today’s cutting edge ‘Digital Ceiling’ technologies and Internet of Things environments. He joins the panel for Testbed.Vegas’ If you are going to build it, built it Smart. Smart Hotels, event on February 26th.
Tedd commenced his career in technology with Sprint and spent three decades working with telecommunication. During this stage of his career he specialized in telecommunications infrastructure charting the technology change from Analog through the convergence of voice traffic to data networks and Voice Over IP technology, as well as contact center design and management systems. In a combined 35 years he provided vendor services to industry and then administered the communications infrastructure for gaming technology company, Global Cash Access (Everi Holdings).
He then joined systems integrator, TeamSOS. Here, Tedd leveraged his depth of communication technology experience, combining with data infrastructure for the company clients in the Las Vegas Valley. TeamSOS provides design, deployment and support services for business technology infrastructure solutions.
Charting the continued improvements to data infrastructure and additional technology services over Ethernet networking environments he then joined Teledata, broadening his scope of technology solution expertise to include solution design for Network Infrastructure, Security & Surveillance, Audio / Visual, IT Managed Services & Solutions, IT Hosting & Cloud Services, Fire Protection & Life Safety and, Business Phone Systems. He recently joined Las Vegas company and systems integrator NEXTGEN focusing on Fire, Life & Safety and Security technology for business and residential.
Tedd’s most recent passion is the broadening of infrastructure design to leverage Power Over Ethernet (POE) technology supporting improvement to building design of data infrastructure and connected buildings that leverage the ‘Internet of Things’. Smart Buildings are a blend of Architecture, Engineering and Technology. It turns buildings into ‘living organisms’: networked, intelligent and adaptable.
His career is the story of technology evolution and an accelerated pace of change based upon Moore’s Law, dictating a continued growth of business technology experience.
