Michael Kurcab, President of Equilibrium Audio brings his expertise to Testbed.Vegas’ February event.

Joining the panel for February Vegas Travel & Hospitality Tech event, ‘If you are going to build it, build it Smart’, is Michael Kurcab from Equilibrium Audio, based in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Michael is the President and Chief Audio Engineer of Equilibrium Audio, founding the company in 2017 with a primary focus on customer service, to live entertainment and event venues in Las Vegas and beyond.

Michael moved to Las Vegas from Chicago in 2000 as the Audio Engineer at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino‘s legendary live entertainment venue, ‘The Joint’. The opportunity provided the understanding of the importance of Audio and Visual technology in the hospitality environment, envisioning what the future of hotel Audio and Visual would look like in a connected world. In 2002, Michael joined Mandalay Bay opening the 1.8 Million square foot convention space and The Hotel (now Delano). Here he oversaw the state-of-the-art networked-based AV infrastructure for the property and, eventually assumed oversight for the entire Mandalay Bay campus facility operations.

After 10 years at what was now MGM Resorts Mandalay Bay, he joined HARMAN, a global leader in Professional Audio & Video technology. With global brands like JBL, Harman-Kardon, AMX and Mark Levinson in the company product set, Michael leveraged his industry experience to bring Harman products and services to the hospitality industry, establishing relationships with leading hotel operators around the world. Nearly a decade after HARMAN, he joined a consulting firm assisting with establishment of operations in the Las Vegas market. With that accomplished, he turned his focus to his own venture, assisting hospitality operators and live entertainment venues to deliver professionalism, customer service, and technical acuity through the services provided by Equilibrium Audio.

The clinic provides free diagnostic evaluation and treatment of speech and language disorders, as well as learning disabilities.

Originally hailing from Chicago, Illinois he now calls Las Vegas home, having spent time in California as well as his broader international experience with Harman International.
