Jeff Johns, Senior Vice President Americas from INTEREL brings his extensive industry background to the discussion at If you are going to build it, build it Smart. Smart Hotels, on the 26th of February in Las Vegas
Jeff is a veteran of the smart hotel technology environment. Throughout his career he has worked with several of the organisations that have lead the charge toward the connected guestroom experience.
His experience includes working with Sony to launch a hospitality compatible TV, then as Vice President of Business Technologies for Enseo where IPTV and broadcast TV systems were deployed in projects like MGM Resorts CityCenter, Westgate, Planet Hollywood and Wynn Encore. In 2011, he joined Inncom prior to the Honeywell acquisition and Jeff began to focus on guestroom automation and energy management for local clients that included, MGM Resorts, Wynn and Caesars.
In 2017, Jeff joined INTEREL to build the Americas region for the Dubai-based company. With a focus on leveraging advanced technologies, combined with a ‘standard of care’ commitment to projects, INTEREL is now the fastest growing Guest Room Management System (GRMS) company in North America.
As Testbed.Vegas celebrates the industry technology community in Las Vegas, Jeff has a long term background and commitment to the city, dating back to his time with Sony Electronics and the opening of Caesar’s Palace Augustus Tower in 2005. The commitment continues with the INTEREL Americas division as a Nevada corporation and plans to grow their regional headquarters in Las Vegas.
A graduate of UC Berkeley with a degree in International Economics, Jeff’s career has been highlighted by working with emerging technologies. From pioneering the earliest online real estate solutions for the California and National Associations of Realtors, to working with today’s modern hotels and casinos, his approach to technology has been to focus on best practices and user-focused solutions.
Testbed.Vegas is delighted to have Jeff join the panel. The depth of his background and perspective of the industry technology journey in this space will add particular color to the dialogue.
