Testbed Vegas’ Mark Fancourt to discuss Future Jobs

Mark Fancourt from Testbed Vegas and industry technology consulting company TRAVHOTECH will join the next Vegas Travel & Hospitality Tech event on the topic of Future Jobs.

Fancourt has called Las Vegas home for seven years originally locating to the city to join MGM Resorts where he headed technology for MGM Hospitality. Beyond his Las Vegas experience he brings a global career in travel & hospitality technology to the discussion.

Originally hailing from Brisbane, Australia he commenced his career at hotel school when Australia was discovered as an international tourism destination. After several years in operational hospitality with brands Qantas, ITT Sheraton, Hyatt & Southern Pacific Hotels Corporation. He joined Beaufort Hotels ground breaking The Heritage where the company developed a Six star hospitality product, and was an early adopter of the Fidelio software product for hotels.

The introduction to Fidelio saw him join the Fidelio Australia where he oversaw the PMS product in Australasia & the Pacific and went on to help launch the pioneering Central Reservations and Customer Information and Loyalty and eCommerce products for hotel corporations, which marked Fidelio’s transition to Oracle. He then lead Enterprise systems for Micros Fidelio Asia Pacific. Following his time with what became Micros Systems he lead a startup for ERP systems in hospitality.

Fancourt then transitioned back into corporate hospitality in the first of three roles leading technology for Pan Pacific Hotels & Resorts, then through the merger to form PPHG and ultimately joining MGM in Las Vegas.

The MGM experience exposed Fancourt to enterprise resource planning (ERP) software provider, Cenium, a single software platform for hospitality operations, where he introduced the unique technology into the portfolio of MGM Hospitality before joining Cenium as the Chief Operating Officer of the company.

Mark has lived and worked all over the world in cultures and locations as diverse and India and Canada. He has also lead globally distributed multicultural teams as an operator and a technology vendor, bringing broad experience to the discussion on Future Jobs.

He is a regular commentator in hospitality technology forums, events and publications and is a Global Director of the industry organisation, Hospitality Financial & Technology Professionals (HFTP) representing the global membership from the fields of finance and technology. Along with Cheyne Cole he also founded the Travel Massive Las Vegas chapter.
