From small things big things grow.
Testbed Vegas’, Vegas Travel & Hospitality Tech event began with 6 people around a Boardroom table. After a year we’re thrilled to host a community of industry people who are genuinely interested in Travel & Hospitality technology in Las Vegas.
Over the course of 12 months we’ve hosted 14 events in Las Vegas and elsewhere on topics ranging from Autonomous Vehicles and Cannabis to Robotics and the Future of Jobs. We’ve had hundreds of people join in on the discussion. Not just from Las Vegas, but around the world.
We’ve had people from non-profits, consultancy, technology vendors, operators, OTA’s, students, education, gaming company’s, hotel company’s, food & beverage company’s, developers, media and people just interested in the industry get involved.
Hundreds of people have joined the group. Hundreds of people receive our updates of information and point of view, and lot’s of incredible organisations and people have donated their time and expertise to educate the audience.
In the process we started the Travel Massive Las Vegas chapter (number 47 on the Top 50 list), launched four new community forums in Hi Society, 12 Midnight, TECHconvo and Hospitality Technology Hacks & Pundits (HTHP). More to come on that front.
We’ve had several Pizza’s, quite a few Beers and a significant number of bottles of Wine and lots of you have discovered the best Coffee in town due to the generosity of Pam Mason at Desert Winds Coffee Roasters, with thanks to Alex and Alexandra who have looked after our guests.
Martin S Fuentes has made sure that our journey will not be forgotten through his digital journal of all that has come to pass.
Most of all, none of this would have been valuable if our fellow industry peers and citizens didn’t think it was worth their time. Apparently you do and we are are grateful for your enthusiasm and support. We will continue to strive to keep providing relevant discussion points about our industry.
But this month, it’s time to celebrate!
Have you ever been to the Velveteen Rabbit? It’s one of our favourites. Join us and while you are there you can try a Testbedder or a VTH Tech. The team at ‘The Rabbit’ as Cheyne and I call it make some of the best cocktails in Las Vegas.
Join us for an evening meeting the travel & hospitality tech community, learning new things about emerging technology and making new friends in the space.
