July Event Recap – Information Security in Travel & Hospitality

The July event presented a broad ranging discussion on the subject of information security in the travel and hospitality space with Rahul Kaushik, John Hong and Lukas Kuzmiak sharing their various perspectives on the challenges and makeup of the discipline in the industry.

Given recent industry breaches the discussion was top of mind for the panel, as well as the audience with presentations, spirited discussion and conversation crossing a range of topics from social behavior, the reality of internal security policies, organisation staff heeding security threats and minimizing impact through behavior to the sophistication of the external environment looking to steal business information.

We welcomed several new members to the community and it was also exciting to see community member Dolev Schreiber launch her new travel planning platform, DetourOn. Dolev has been working toward her initiative for several months now and we are thrilled to learn that members of the Testbed Vegas community have collaborated to get things off the ground. Well done Dolev!

The Regulars

We also recapped a year of outcomes from Testbed Vegas and took the opportunity to recognize our most regular members, Jia Skerbitz, Michael Caruso and Tedd Brandes who have been consistent supporters of Testbed Vegas since we got started over a year ago. As a token of appreciation Testbed Vegas gifted an annual membership to Farestar Travel Club.

Thanks go to Martin S. Fuentes for another brace of great photos from the event. Far better than Mark’s from last month!
